The Amendments to the Constitution: Bill of Rights and Beyond
Much of the success of the U.S. Constitution can be attributed to the way the document has changed to meet the needs of the American people. 1. The Bill of RightsIt upholds freedom of speech and religion, guarantees a free press, grants the right to keep and bear arms, preserves the right of trial by jury, establishes states’ rights, and more. 2.
